2026 Part D Drug Plan Review
Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)
October 15th to December 7th
Please follow the 3 steps detailed below to complete your Part D plan (PDP) review.
You’re not alone! We can help you with each of these steps and confirm you’re in good shape for 2026.
How to Create a My Medicare Account
Step #1 - Create your Medicare.gov Account
Creating a My Medicare account at Medicare.gov only takes a few minutes. Here’s what you’ll need to create the account:
Access to the internet with either a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone
Your Medicare # from your red, white, and blue Medicare card
Your Part A (hospital) start date from your Medicare card
Your email address
After you create the account, move on to Step #2 below.
Note: If you don’t want to create an account, you can complete Step #2 and #3 without logging in to Medicare.gov. However, you’ll have to re-enter your medications every time you do the analysis. If you have an account, it saves your medication list.
How To Update Your Medications On Medicare.gov
Step #2 - Add your medications & pharmacies
It’s very easy to add your medications and pharmacies in your Medicare.gov account. This video shows you how.
Then you’ll be prepared for Step #3, which you can start working on in October 2025.
How to Choose Your Part D Plan on Medicare.gov
Step #3 - Review plan options & confirm your 2026 Part D plan
This video will help you confirm whether your existing plan is suitable for 2026, or if changing plans is beneficial.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
You can begin performing the review on Medicare.gov for the 2026 plan year as early as October 1st, 2025.
If appropriate, you can change your Part D (PDP) plan between October 15th and December 7th. The new plan would begin January 1st, 2026. And your old Part D plan will AUTOMATICALLY cancel at the end of the year.
If it’s determined that your current Part D plan is still appropriate for 2026, take no action. Your plan will automatically renew January 1st, 2026.
